PMO Engineer - Public Infrastructure Building Projects - Office and On-Site
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Civil or Mechanical or Electrical Engineer to strengthen the operations of our Project Management Office (P.M.O.) and support our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project management methodologies and techniques, excellent communication and organizational skills, and experience in complex building projects. The Project Management Officer will coordinate and support all aspects of projects, including review of studies and designs, project planning, procurement, monitoring, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Review designers’ documentation, examine for constructability and potential discrepancies
- Support the procurement process and procedures for the execution of projects
- Keep minutes of meetings for the meetings held with the projects’ stakeholders
- Support project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
- Monitor and track project teams and document project progress, risks, and issues.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit periodical project reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical or electrical engineering
- At least 2-3 years of on-site experience in construction of buildings with significant electromechanical installations.
- Public works’ project experience is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and ethical skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders
- Proficiency in project management software and tools is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus
