As a Head of Procurement- you will play a critical role within the regional procurement team of a leading offshore wind energy developer.
Your responsibilities include overseeing procurement processes specific to offshore wind projects, managing contracts, developing supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, and collaborating with various internal teams. The goal is to enhance project efficiency and financial performance, aligning procurement objectives with broader company goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Expand and manage a team of Supply Chain Managers, Contract Managers and Procurement Managers.
- Develop, implement, and review procurement procedures and maintain supply chain records.
- Handle contract creation, negotiations, and execution to optimize operational and financial outcomes.
- Collaborate with departments such as Development, Construction, and Operations & Maintenance.
- Manage relationships within the supply chain, mapping and strategizing for long-term engagement.
- Work closely with corporate functions to ensure legal, technical, commercial, and financial compliance in project negotiations.
- Coordinate with legal, engineering, vendors, and suppliers to facilitate project contracts.
- Lead and support contract execution for project development, construction, and asset management.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external standards and regulations.
- Monitor market trends and pricing dynamics.
- Identify and execute contracting opportunities for complex agreements.
- Manage pre-qualification processes and tender submissions.
EDUCATION
- University degree in a commercial, financial, technical, or legal discipline.
- A Master’s degree or professional certification in purchasing or supply chain management is an advantage.
EXPERIENCE
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in procurement.
- Prior experience with offshore industry contracts, including EPCI and service and availability agreements, and knowledge of contract forms such as FIDIC or BIMCO
- Deep understanding of the offshore wind industry and its supply chain.
- Strong expertise in procurement strategies, negotiation, and dispute resolution.
- Proven track record of managing high-value industrial contracts.
