Responsibilities:

• Lead the commissioning process for 220kv, 110kv, 38kV & 20kV substations across ESB networks in Ireland, adhering to stringent industry standards and project specifications.
• Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop comprehensive commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures tailored to the unique requirements of each substation.
• Conduct rigorous inspections, tests, and functional checks of high-voltage equipment and systems, including transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and protection relays.
• Identify and address technical challenges and issues encountered during the commissioning phase, working collaboratively with engineering teams and contractors to resolve them effectively.
• Document commissioning activities, findings, and recommendations meticulously for project records and client handover.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years' experience in commissioning engineering on substations operating at 220kV, 110kV, 38kV, and 20kV.
• University degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field/relevant work experience.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Professional English speaking & writing skills.
• EU permit to work or UK citizenship.
