Senior Authorised Person

400kV Senior Authorised Person - 6 month contract - outside IR35 - Day rate - Multiple locations throughout the UK - November start date

Hunter Philips are partnered with one of the UKs leading HV providers who are looking to expand their team and bring on an experienced 400kV Senior Authorized Person / HV Specialist.

My client is looking for a 400kV Senior Authorised Person who has experience looking after OFTO assets and experience in the construction phase of offshore wind farms.

Requirements:

• 400kV Authorised Persons would be considered for the position
• Minimum of 5 years as Senior Authorised Person
• National Grid / DNO background desired but not essential
• Proof of switching
• Experience monitoring and overseeing OFTO assets
• Experience working in the construction phase of an offshore wind farm
• Experience working on ONS and OSS
• You must be flexible with travelling

Role and responsibilities:

• Ensure all safety documentation and permits are managed appropriately.
• Issue Limitation of Access Documents to control and restrict access to high-risk areas as required.
• Conduct high-voltage switching operations at 400kV
• Prepare and carry out switching schedules to maintain system reliability
• Perform equipment upgrades, including switchgear and transformer replacements.
• Develop and assess Risk Assessments and Method Statements for high-risk operations.
• Adhere to the client’s safety protocols and guidelines.
• Maintain clear communication with the control room
• Oversee the OFTO assets on specific projects
