Job title: Solar PV Design Engineer - Hybrid

Are you a talented Electrical Design Engineer with a passion for renewable energy?
Our client is a global leader in renewable energy solutions, specialising in the design, construction, and operation of large-scale solar power plants. They are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team, working on cutting-edge solar power projects in Southern Germany. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects in a collaborative and innovative environment.
Your Responsibilities:
- Create detailed single-line diagrams for HV, MV, and LV systems
- Design and select configurations for HV, MV, and LV systems based on local and international standards
- Perform technical analyses, including short-circuit, load flow, and earthing calculations
- Conduct protection and coordination studies for relay systems
- Calculate and report on HV, LV, and AC/DC system designs, voltage drop, and power losses
- Ensure the correct selection of components, cables, transformers, and other equipment
Your Profile:
- Language skills: English & German knowledge is advantageous.
- Location: Based in South Germany
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design, ideally within renewable energy
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP)
- Strong understanding of industry codes and standards
- Knowledge of SCADA and communication systems is a plus
- A team player with excellent organisational skills
