Hunter Philips is currently seeking a HSE Manager to oversee health, safety, and environmental aspects of a utility-scale solar PV plant construction project in Ireland, starting in February 2025 on a 14-month contract. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with all safety regulations and promote a safety culture on-site.
Our client leads innovative energy transition projects worldwide, focusing on renewable energy, grid modernization, and sustainable infrastructure. Whilst experience in the PV industry would be a huge advantage, this opportunity is also open to those without experience in the industry.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Lead safety meetings and training sessions for all site personnel.
- Investigate incidents and accidents and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to integrate safety into all project phases.
- Maintain detailed records of safety inspections, incidents, and compliance issues.
- Ensure that all safety equipment is properly maintained and used.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE management, preferably in the renewable energy or construction sector.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Certification in safety management is a plus.
Summary:
