Organize, manage, follow-up and control all the HVDC related tasks (engineering, procurement, fabrication/modification, installation) performed by the HVDC OEM and the team
Ensure compliance with the existing HVDC agreements requirements (PSA, EWA, EPCIA) including but not limited to diligent review and reply, consistent interface management.
Contribute to internal reporting, program, cost books and risk register updates;
Prepare status reports and technical information in relation to the package when required and for presentation to both internal and external stakeholders;
Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) systems to ensure a cohesive onshore transmission system design of Attentive Energy projects. This role involves working on cutting-edge projects that contribute to the development of efficient and reliable power transmission solutions.
Report to the Export Program Director but will work closely with the Onshore Transmission Manager, Senior Interconnection Engineer, Electrical Systems Manager, Technical Director, HVDC Contract Lead, and Interconnection Program Lead.
Provide technical support for the detailed designs, installation, commissioning, and operation for HVDC Offshore converter stations. Ensure all designs and implementations comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Support the management of HVDC projects from conception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Work closely with other engineering disciplines, 3rd parties (MAOD, JCP&L, PBI developer, NJ BPU, and other NJ Project related affiliates) and contractors to ensure seamless integration of HVDC systems. Support the integration, interface, and execution of respective onshore Owners Engineering activities.
Collaborate with and support parallel work packages including contracting, supply chain and permitting, all related to AE2 onshore export system development;
Manage and review technical reports, studies and drawings associated with the HVDC activities;
Support commercial discussions with OEMs, contractors, etc. as required by providing technical advice to advance the project related to onshore Export Package;
Periodically travel between company offices as well as travel to and from project facilities where travel can include technology assessments, factory witnessing and site visits;
Perform other tasks and takes on additional duties as reasonably assigned by supervisor, project manager and/or group unit.
