PROJECT ENGINEER – PROCUREMENT (Renewable Energy & Utility-Scale Solar Projects)
The Company:
A leading renewable energy contractor specialising in utility-scale solar, hybrid energy, and energy storage projects, the company has rapidly expanded across Greece through the delivery of technically complex, large-scale renewable energy assets. The business is recognised for delivering these projects efficiently, safely, and on schedule. As part of this growth, the company is seeking a Project Engineer – Procurement to support timely, cost-effective, and compliant procurement across multiple renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating procurement activities for utility-scale solar, hybrid energy, and energy storage projects, including preparation of RFQs, tender evaluations, and supplier management.
- Collaborating with project management, design, and engineering teams to ensure PV modules, inverters, transformers, and other critical equipment are delivered on time and within budget.
- Supporting contract negotiations and ensuring compliance with project specifications, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitoring procurement schedules, supplier performance, and risks, taking corrective action as necessary.
- Preparing and submitting procurement reports and documentation to senior management.
- Maintaining accurate records of purchase orders, supplier certifications, and delivery schedules.
The Person:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 3–5 years’ experience in procurement or project engineering within EPC or renewable energy projects.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, tendering procedures, and supplier management in the renewable energy sector.
- Strong organisational, planning, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with project management tools and ERP systems.
- Fluent in Greek and English.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary project team.
