The Company

A leading developer with a large pipeline of energy projects are investing heavily into driving the late stage development and grid connection of their Australian portfolio.

 

They are looking to place a Grid Connection Manager to lead the MV/HV grid connection of Utility Scale renewable power plants to the grid, from early feasibility through to energisation.

 

The Role:

As Grid Connection Manager you will lead on all aspects of Substation and Grid Connection delivery for Australian projects. Some of your duties will include:

  • Lead the delivery of grid connections for all renewables projects
  • Be the technical expert relating to all design, authorisation, and execution maters for the substation and connection of renewables plants to the grid
  • Provide expert advice and support to project development team on grid connection & potential risks to project feasibility
  • Review electrical system designs against grid code and supervise the delivery work of 3rd party contractors and consultants associated to HV substations and Balance of Plant
  • Collaborate on Grid Connection applications & negotiation of conditions with network operators
  • Manage risk and problems arising with the Grid Connection

 

The Person:

The successful candidate will likely have:

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
  • 3+ years' experience in Utility Scale Projects with a strong focus on Grid Connection
  • Understand utility Grid Code, AEMO and have relationships with Transmission & Distribution operators
  • Have strong capabilities related to Power Systems Studies with experience of using software including PSSE, Dig-silent, ETAP, PVsyst, Autocad and other related software
  • Have expert technical knowledge with the ability to support team members and influence technical discussions.
  • Be able to solve complex problems, Engage, Lead, motivate and inspire teams to success.
  • Have a valid visa to live and work in Australia.

Assistant Site Manager - Solar PV - Solar Farm - Construction - UK - ContractJob Overview:A renewable energy EPC is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to support the on-site delivery of utility-scale Solar PV project.
