Head of Asset Management – Onshore Wind – DACH/Scandinavia Region Portfolio - €Excellent + Benefits Package

 

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Head of Asset Management to oversee the efficient management and optimization of an extensive onshore wind portfolio across Europe, with a base in Berlin, Germany (Candidate can be based anywhere in the North of Germany with periodic travel to Berlin).

 

As the Head of Asset Management, you will be responsible for maximizing the financial performance and operational efficiency of European onshore wind assets, ensuring long-term sustainability and profitability.

 

You will lead strategic initiatives to enhance asset value, mitigate risk, and drive operational excellence. This is a key leadership position in a market-leading renewable energy business, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact in the growing wind energy sector.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the asset management team, ensuring best-in-class practices for managing onshore wind assets.
  • Monitor and optimise the financial and technical performance of wind farms by analysing key performance indicators (KPIs) and implementing corrective actions where needed.
  • Work cross-functionally with project development, engineering, legal, and finance teams to ensure seamless project transitions and alignment throughout the asset lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including O&M providers, OEMs, technical consultants, and investors.
  • Develop and implement effective risk management frameworks, ensuring appropriate insurance coverage and contingency planning to safeguard asset value.
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets, track financial performance, and identify cost optimisation opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data analytics, remote monitoring tools, and emerging technologies to enhance asset efficiency.
  • Stay current with regulatory changes, market developments, and innovations in onshore wind to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Produce high-quality reports and presentations for senior leadership and external stakeholders, detailing asset performance, financial health, and key operational insights.

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree in engineering, business administration, renewable energy, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Extensive experience in asset management of onshore wind projects within the renewable energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of the onshore wind lifecycle—from commissioning through to repowering and decommissioning.
  • Proven leadership ability with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, reviewing financial statements, and ensuring strong ROI.
  • Advanced analytical skills and ability to derive actionable insights from technical and financial data.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard asset management systems and wind analytics platforms (e.g., SCADA, CMS).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Deep knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in the European wind market.
  • A proactive, hands-on, and strategic mindset.

Assistant Site Manager - Solar PV - Solar Farm - Construction - UK - ContractJob Overview:A renewable energy EPC is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to support the on-site delivery of utility-scale Solar PV project.
