Hunter Philips are partnered with an organisation who are committed to battling climate change and achieving Net-0. We are searching for a Senior Cables Design Engineer to help drive the delivery of innovative energy infrastructure projects from concept through to completion.



Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on all aspects of cable design from concept through to delivery and energisation.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all cable engineering design matters within the organisation.
  • Manage design changes to ensure ongoing compliance and technical integrity.
  • Oversee design processes with full consideration of CDM regulations throughout all project stages.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of engineering policies, procedures, and design standards.
  • Contribute to network development by attending technical working groups and stakeholder forums.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams and internal departments to drive efficiency and consistency across projects.
  • Provide accurate monthly progress updates to the Head of Engineering, highlighting achievements, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including transmission and distribution operators, customers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Foster positive cross-discipline collaboration within the business to ensure successful project outcomes.



Requirements:

  • Ability to write detailed technical specifications for inclusion in procurement tenders.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex engineering requirements.
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple design activities across different projects.
  • Proven experience as a Cable Engineer in the energy or utilities sector, ideally within a regulated environment.
  • Track record of managing cable design projects from initial design through to delivery.
  • Experience in applying CDM regulations to design activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with engineering standards and requirements for connections to the UK electricity network.

Assistant Site Manager - Solar PV - Solar Farm - Construction - UK - ContractJob Overview:A renewable energy EPC is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to support the on-site delivery of utility-scale Solar PV project.
