Chief Commercial Officer – Renewable Energy | Asia


Our client is a leading Independent Power Producer (IPP) headquartered in Singapore, focused on developing, owning, and operating renewable energy assets across Asia. With an established presence in key markets and a strong pipeline of solar, wind, and energy storage projects, the company is entering a new phase of growth, requiring strategic leadership to drive commercial expansion and secure capital for its ambitious development plans.

 

To support this next stage, we are seeking an experienced Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to lead fundraising, strategic partnerships, and commercial initiatives across the region. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the company’s continued success by securing investment, structuring project financing, and driving revenue growth.

 

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising & Capital Strategy

  • Develop and execute fundraising strategies to support project development and corporate expansion.
  • Build and maintain relationships with institutional investors, infrastructure funds, and financial partners.
  • Lead capital structuring for large-scale renewable energy projects, ensuring financial viability and long-term growth.

 

Commercial & Business Development

  • Identify and secure strategic partnerships to expand the company’s renewable energy portfolio.
  • Oversee commercial negotiations, including power purchase agreements (PPAs), joint ventures, and project acquisitions.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to align commercial strategies with overall business objectives.

 

Market Expansion & Leadership

  • Shape the company’s regional market strategy, identifying new opportunities in high-growth Asian markets.
  • Represent the business in key industry engagements, fostering relationships with government agencies, utilities, and corporate off-takers.
  • Provide executive leadership, driving financial performance and commercial success.

 

Candidate Profile

 

Experience & Expertise

  • Proven track record in fundraising, project finance, and capital structuring within infrastructure, energy, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of commercial negotiations, PPAs, and energy market dynamics across Asia.
  • Experience in scaling businesses and securing large-scale investments.
  • Background in investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance within energy infrastructure is highly desirable.

Senior Authorised Person / HV Specialist – 6 - 12 month contract –– All inclusive day rate, outside IR35 – Distribution – ASAP start – MidlandsHunter Philips are looking for an 11kV Senior Authorised Person with authorisations working on a DNO & OHLs.
