A leading company specialising in utility-scale solar and storage solutions is looking for a talented Senior Legal Counsel to join their team.


The Company:

Our client is a leading European renewable energy platform with significant backing from a global infrastructure investor. Having grown from a specialist developer into a major independent power producer the business is now entering a new phase of expansion, with a pipeline of over 15 GW of solar and energy storage projects across Europe.


As part of this growth, we are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to take a key leadership role within the German team. This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-profile position with clear succession potential, offering both hands-on legal responsibility and the chance to shape the future legal structure of the organisation in Germany


The Role:

  • Lead on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts across development, construction, land, and commercial activities.
  • Provide expert legal advice on property and leasing matters, ensuring projects progress smoothly and within regulatory frameworks.
  • Operate as the go-to legal advisor for the German business, maintaining strong collaboration with international colleagues.
  • Deliver practical, solutions-oriented guidance to internal stakeholders across development, transactions, and senior management.
  • Shape the legal strategy and governance frameworks for the business in Germany, introducing processes that support long-term growth.
  • Actively contribute to leadership discussions, influencing key decisions and helping to drive the business forward.


The Person:

  • Qualified lawyer in Germany with a strong grounding in renewable energy, real estate, and leasing law.
  • Minimum 6 years post PQE.
  • Experienced in drafting, negotiating, and managing complex project agreements.
  • Proactive, diligent, and able to take ownership of structuring legal frameworks.
  • Skilled at stakeholder management and relationship building.
  • Motivated by the opportunity to work in a dynamic, international, and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Native-level German speaker with strong English proficiency.

Senior Authorised Person / HV Specialist – 6 - 12 month contract –– All inclusive day rate, outside IR35 – Distribution – ASAP start – MidlandsHunter Philips are looking for an 11kV Senior Authorised Person with authorisations working on a DNO & OHLs. You will be responsible for Safety from the System and managing outages on the 11kV networks Key Responsibilities:·       Project managing and planning the tree outages where the trees have come into contact with the power lines.·       Working on the LV networks up to 11kV. ·       Resolving clearance issues on LV and HV.·       Adhering to safety regulations ensuring supply, quality and continuity.·       Always ensuring Safety from the System.·       Prepare and implement switching schedules up to and on the 11kV networks.·       Issue Limitation of Access documents to regulate and restrict entry to high-risk areas when necessary.·       Carrying out isolation and instructing the contractors to make sure the works are complete.·       Manage safety documentation and permits effectively and in compliance with requirements.·       Managing the faults on the 11kV networks Experience & requirements: ·       Experience working on OHL for a minimum of 2 years ·       Current DNO authorisations (Candidates whose DNO certs have expired within a 12 month period will be considered)·       11kV SAP authorisation (33Kv SAP authorisations would be beneficial) ·       Full UK clean driving licence ·       Must be able to travel and potentially stay away from homeLogistics: ·       6 - 12 months rolling·       All inclusive day rate, outside IR35 ·       ASAP start date ·       Monday to Friday (overtime and weekend work available)If you are interested and meet the requirements then please send your CV to josie.wade@hunterphilips.com and get a call booked in with me.
