The Company: A well-structure & ambitious European IPP, who have strong institutional investment, 500MW+ of assets in operation, 5GW+ of secured wind, solar, and BESS pipeline across Europe, and an 7GW+ operating target for 2030. They will primarily utilise an acquisition strategy of late stage or operating assets or existing platforms. The Role European Head of M&A to lead the acquisitions and divestment across all their 5 current countries, plus new market entrance. This will be a highly influential role, reporting directly to the CEO with strong access to the senior executive team and the major investor. Also supporting the senior management to develop a high-performing team and effective systems & processes. This has fantastic scope for progression into executive management functions in the coming years, taking advantage of the organic growth of the company as it expands internationally. Your main responsibilities will be: Define & execute a 3 to 5 year regional/international M&A strategy to secure a multi GW late stage or operational portfolio Take the lead in the origination, due diligence, negotiation, and closing of buy & sell side M&A deals, with a focus on acquisition of Utility-Scale Renewables Assets and/or Platforms Establish & manage relationships with banks, brokers, consultancies, funds, IPPs, and developers etc across Europe Built and lead a high performing team Strong LTI opportunity available The Person The successful candidate will likely have: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Law, or Engineering 3+ years leading M&A transations for Utility-Scale Solar PV, Wind, Battery Storage, Green Gases, or Gas. Senior Legal Executive - Turbine Procurement & Renewable Energy A leading international renewable energy developer and IPP with a significant portfolio across wind, solar and BESS is expanding its legal and commercial function. The business is growing internationally and offers the opportunity to work closely with procurement, project delivery, transactions and senior leadership on major renewable energy projects THE ROLE The business is seeking a Senior Legal Executive with strong experience across renewable energy, turbine procurement and complex commercial contracts. This is a highly commercial position, taking ownership of the legal aspects of major turbine procurement processes and supporting the business through negotiation, contracting and execution. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead legal support across the full turbine procurement process, from initial offers through negotiation, award and execution. Negotiate turbine supply, installation, service and related commercial agreements. Advise on contractual risk, financial security, liability, warranties and commercial exposure. Support negotiations with international OEMs, suppliers and contractors. Manage contractual risks, claims, variations and potential disputes. Work closely with procurement, project, commercial and transaction teams. Support the development of contract management, templates and legal processes, including AI-enabled technology. THE PERSON Qualified lawyer with 8–10+ years' post-qualified experience. Strong background in renewable energy, utilities, infrastructure or construction. Proven turbine procurement/wind energy contracting experience highly desirable. Experience with EPC, FIDIC, supply, construction, O&M or LTSA agreements. Strong commercial negotiation and contractual risk management skills. Comfortable working directly with procurement and commercial teams. International / multi-jurisdictional experience.
