Land Acquisition ManagerLocation: Rhineland-Palatinate or HesseThe Opportunity:Our client is an international Independent Power Producer (IPP) and renewable energy business with a highly successful global track record and multi-gigawatt development pipeline. They are rapidly scaling up their German operations, focusing on the greenfield development of utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). To drive this next phase of growth, they are looking for a dynamic Senior Land Acquisition Manager to lead their land-securing activities across Germany. Responsibilities:Identify, evaluate, and secure suitable land areas for utility-scale Solar PV and standalone or co-located Battery Storage (BESS) projects across Germany.Build and maintain a strong pipeline of greenfield project locations by utilizing tools, public registries, and regional networks.Lead commercial and legal negotiations with landowners, agricultural associations, public authorities, and local stakeholders to secure long-term lease or purchase agreements (Nutzungsverträge).Conduct initial site feasibility assessments, including analyzing regional zoning plans (Flächennutzungspläne) and structural constraints.Act as the initial local representative of the business, presenting projects clearly to municipal stakeholders and mayors to secure local community buy-in.Coordinate closely with internal Project Developers, Technical Engineers, and GIS specialists to smoothly transition secured sites to the permitting phase.Requirements:3+ years of proven experience in land acquisition (Flächensicherung) specifically for utility-scale Solar PV or BESS projects in the German market.Deep understanding of the German real estate/land landscape, lease agreement structures, and local property law.Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.Native or fluent German (written and spoken) is mandatory & fluent English.High willingness to travel across target regions in Germany.Please apply or send me an email: summer.mee@hunterphilips.com

The Role The role will be to construct and operate their large portfolio of Utility Scale renewables, hydrogen, and battery storage projects whilst supporting the significant growth of their greenfield and M&A pipeline. Some duties would include: Full P&L responsibility Develop and execute 3-5 year strategy, to accelerate the Construction and Operation of the pipeline Oversee the Construction of a large pipeline of ready-to-build and greenfield Utility Scale renewables projects Ensure success in areas such as PPAs, Construction, and Operations Develop processes, tools, and best practices for effective project management, and for interfacing across all internal and external stakeholders Structure & undertake board-level responsibilities in SPVs Build and lead a high-performing team in Germany Lead & establish relationships with EPCs, OEMs, project developers, financial institutions, investors, governments, and major offtakers across the region Take a leading role in commercial negotiations and lobbying Attractive LTIP opportunity and progression to regional CEO within 5 years Financial event readiness incentive for significant wealth creation. Full P&L responsibility Develop and execute 3-5 year strategy, to accelerate growth to Develop, Construct, and Operate at Scale Oversee the Development & Commercialistation of an annual 300MW - 500MW+ of Utility Scale projects to Ready to Build / Finaincial Close Ensure success in areas such as PPAs, Financing, Pre-Construction, Construction Develop processes, tools, and best practices for effective project management, and for interfacing across all internal and external stakeholders Structure & undertake board level responsibilities in SPVs Participate in sell side M&A for certain projects Build and lead a high performing team in Germany Take an active role on direction, prioritisation and commercial support to the Project Development, BD, and Energy Markets teams to realise ambitious goals Lead & establish relationships with project developers, financial institutions, investors, governments, and major offtakers across region Take a leading role in commercial negotiations and lobbying Attractive LTIP opportunity and progression to Group CEO or similar within 5 years The Person The successful candidate will likely have: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Law or Engineering 3+ years in a leadership position with a renewables company Experience leading negotiations with counterparts across the various areas of the development and construction lifecycle Strong commercial knowledge and financial acumen Speak English If you are looking for a challenging role with prospects to match, make your application without delay.
