Sales Leader, Northern Europe Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) | Smart Microgrid Solutions Remote (Scandanavia Based) An international energy storage business is expanding rapidly across Europe following significant new investment and is looking to appoint a Sales Leader to drive growth across Northern Europe. The business develops advanced Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Energy Management Systems (EMS) and Smart Microgrid solutions, supporting customers from commercial & industrial applications through to large-scale utility projects. With strong global manufacturing capability and ambitious European growth plans, this is an opportunity to join at a pivotal stage of the company's expansion. The Role You will lead business development across Denmark, Sweden and Finland, developing relationships with utilities, EPCs, renewable energy developers, engineering companies and strategic channel partners. Working closely with technical teams, you will identify new opportunities, support customers throughout the sales process and play a key role in building the company's presence across the region. As the business grows, you will have the opportunity to develop into a Country Manager or Regional Leadership position. Key Responsibilities Develop and grow the Northern European sales strategy. Build relationships with utilities, EPCs, developers and channel partners. Drive sales of BESS, EMS and Smart Microgrid solutions. Work alongside engineering teams to deliver customer-focused solutions. Provide market intelligence and support future regional expansion. Grid Connections Manager - Italy - 12 Month Contract - Solar & BESS - September start - Monday to FridayI'm looking for a Grid Connection Manager who knows how to get projects connected. Someone who understands how the Italian grid works, has built relationships with the right people and can confidently manage conversations with TSOs, DSOs, EPCs and internal stakeholders to keep projects moving.Responsibilities:Managing grid connection activities across a portfolio of Solar and BESS projects in Italy.Building and maintaining relationships with TSOs, DSOs and other key network stakeholders.Coordinating EPC contractors, Owner's Engineers and network operators throughout project delivery.Reviewing and approving electrical designs for substations, grid connection assets, protection systems, SCADA and associated HV infrastructure.Providing technical oversight during construction, supporting the Construction Manager and resolving grid-related technical issues.Coordinating interfaces between EPCs, HV contractors, civil contractors and protection engineers.Supporting commissioning activities, factory and site acceptance testing (FAT/SAT) and planned outages where required.Ensuring grid infrastructure is delivered safely, on programme and in line with technical and quality standards.Providing grid input during project acquisitions, technical due diligence and throughout the project lifecycle.Requirements:Around five years' experience within the renewable energy sector.Must be based in ItalyProven experience delivering grid connections in Italy.Strong understanding of the Italian transmission and distribution network.Experience working with EPC contractors and network operators.Fluent Italian and English.Commercially minded with excellent stakeholder management skills.Someone who enjoys working across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Offer:12 month contractMonday to Friday, 40 hours per weekStrong potential for extension.Hybrid working with flexibility to be based anywhere in Italy.Opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of Solar PV and BESS projects.If you'd like to find out more, or you're open to hearing about the opportunity, then please send your CV to josie.wade@hunterphilips.com
