HV Cables Civil Specialist – Dublin / Hybrid - 24 Month Contract - Major T&D Infrastructure Projects - Up to 400kV I’m working with a major utility client delivering some of the most critical HV cable infrastructure projects across Ireland.They’re looking for an experienced HV Cables Civil Specialist to join their Engineering & Major Projects division, supporting the delivery of large scale underground cable projects from feasibility right through to construction support. Key Experience Required:·        Minimum 10 years’ experience within HV cable civil design·        Strong background delivering HV / EHV underground cable infrastructure projects·        Experience with trenching, duct installations, joint bays, HDD and constrained route crossings·        Strong understanding of PSDP / Construction Regulations·        Ability to technically review and approve civil engineering deliverables·        Experience managing technical risk, interfaces and design assurance·        Chartered Engineer status essential·        Experience working within utility, transmission or major infrastructure environmentsDesirable:·        FIDIC contract experience·        HV1 / HV2 PSDP competency·        Level 9 Masters Degree The role is hybrid based from Dublin with site attendance required across project locations as needed. 400kV Senior Authorised Person– 10 month contract– Outside IR35 – Onshore substation– ASAP start date – Hybrid role based in Scotland – Monday to FridayI am looking for a 400kV Lead Senior Authorised Person to take the substation project through commisioning and over to energisation taking responsibility for SFTS.Requirements:Previous authorisations 400kV as a Senior Authorised PersonIdeally previously experienced as a Lead SAPCommissioning engineer experienceSolid understanding of Electrical Safety relating to transmission and offshore windExperience and understanding on an ONS substationDNO or National Grid experience is desired but not essentialExperience within transmissionResponsibilities:Oversee offshore transmission infrastructure and commissioning of worksCoordinate activities alongside onshore Project Managers, acting as the key point of contact for offshore operations.Carry out monthly inspections, routine maintenance, and raise defect notifications on equipment.Investigate site issues and implement corrective actions where required.Plan and manage outages, ensuring safe execution.Taking the lead on commissioning through to energisationLead defect resolution and snagging with OEM suppliers to maintain operational performance.Manage and resolve faults across offshore assets, ensuring effective escalation and follow-up.Monitor and support Senior Authorised PersonsDrive knowledge transfer from experienced 400kV SAPs, ensuring team competence and succession planning.Act as a hub leader, coordinating workstreams, team activities, and training delivery.Logistics:ASAP start dateDay rate, outside IR35Monday - Friday10 month initial contractHybrid (minimum requirement of 3 days on site. CONSTRUCTION CLIENT REP / SITE MANAGER – SOLAR PV – BELVOIR, LEICESTER (UK) – 12 MONTH CONTRACTJob Overview:Hunter Philips are supporting a private equity-backed renewable energy investor and developer with the appointment of a Site Manager for a utility-scale Solar PV project located in Belvoir, Leicester.Full EPC mobilisation scheduled for September 2026 and grid connection targeted for September 2027.This is a site-based contract position where the successful candidate will act as the client’s on-site representative, ensuring quality, progress, and HSE standards are maintained throughout construction. The Site Manager will be required to join approximately one month prior to EPC mobilisation to familiarise themselves with the project and ensure a smooth transition into the main construction phase.Key Responsibilities:Act as the client’s on-site representative (“eyes and ears”) throughout the construction phaseOversee EPC contractor performance across quality, progress, and HSEConduct regular site inspections, ensuring works are delivered in line with design specificationsReview RAMS (without sign-off responsibility) and ensure compliance with agreed methodologiesMonitor installation accuracy (e.g. pile spacing, module installation, cabling routes) and identify discrepanciesTrack daily site progress and productivity to validate contractor claims and invoicesEnsure strong on-site presence, maintaining hands-on involvement rather than purely administrative oversightCandidate Requirements:Proven experience as a Site Manager on Solar PV construction projectsStrong understanding of civil and electrical installation activities (piling, modules, cabling, inverters)Ability to identify and challenge quality or installation issues on-siteHands-on approach with a preference for site-based delivery rather than desk-based coordinationContract Details:Location: Belvoir Estate, UK (site-based)Contract Length: 12 months initial (with extension potential) – Outside IR35Start Date: August / Early September 2026Extension Potential: Highy Possible, depending on future project pipelineThis represents an excellent opportunity to join a growing renewable energy platform with multiple projects in development across Europe, offering long-term continuity for high-performing contractors.To apply, please submit your CV with references or send directly to roman.floyd@hunterphilips.com.
