Lead Planner – Offshore Wind

Location: Vilnius, Lithuania / Hybrid

Contract: Ongoing

Daily Rate: Competative

Are you looking for an opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of a flagship offshore wind project that will contribute significantly to the Baltic region's renewable energy transition? A role where you'll work alongside experienced project professionals in a collaborative environment? And where your planning expertise will directly influence project success? If so, this opportunity is for you!

About the Opportunity:

Hunter Philips are currently recruiting for an experienced Lead Planner to join one of the Baltic region's most exciting offshore wind developments.

This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of the integrated project schedule for a major offshore wind farm. Working closely with the Project Director, PMO and package management teams, you will be responsible for driving schedule performance, providing strategic planning insight, and ensuring the successful coordination of engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities throughout the project lifecycle.

The Role:

As Lead Planner, you will become the focal point for all project planning activities, ensuring that the programme remains robust, realistic and aligned across multiple project disciplines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, maintaining and governing the Master Integrated Schedule (MIS)
  • Managing critical path analysis and identifying schedule risks and opportunities
  • Leading project planning governance, reporting and change control processes
  • Producing weekly and monthly schedule reports for senior stakeholders
  • Driving progress measurement across multiple contractors and work packages
  • Coordinating planning interfaces between engineering, procurement, manufacturing, marine logistics, installation, commissioning and grid connection activities
  • Challenging assumptions, identifying delays early and developing recovery strategies
  • Running scenario ("what-if") analyses to support project decision-making
  • Supporting Project Controls, PMO and senior leadership with planning insights and recommendations
  • Leading additional planning resources where required throughout the project lifecycle.

About You:

  • We are looking for a planner who thrives in complex project environments and enjoys taking ownership rather than simply maintaining schedules. You will ideally have:
  • At least 8 years' experience within offshore wind projects
  •  Advanced Primavera P6 experience
  • Strong understanding of EPC project delivery and project controls
  • Experience planning offshore installation campaigns including foundations, cables, substations, wind turbines and marine logistics
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary international project teams
  •  Ability to influence senior stakeholders and challenge planning assumptions constructively.

Working Arrangements:

  • Hybrid working arrangement
  •  Expected presence in the Vilnius office for one four-day visit per month
  •  Availability during Lithuanian business hours
  •  Long-term engagement on a landmark offshore wind project.
