This is a broad, commercially focused opportunity combining German corporate tax, international tax, transactions and structuring.

The Company

The organisation develops and invests in renewable energy infrastructure across multiple European markets. Continued portfolio growth and international expansion have created the need for an experienced tax professional who can support increasingly complex investments, transactions and cross-border activities.

The business offers an entrepreneurial environment where tax is closely connected to commercial decision-making, investment strategy and future growth.

The Role

As International Tax Manager, you will:

  • Advise on German and international tax matters across a growing project portfolio.
  • Develop effective tax structures for projects, investments and group entities.
  • Support acquisitions, disposals, strategic partnerships and other transactions.
  • Assess the tax implications of entering and operating in new international markets.
  • Provide tax input into project financing, investment decisions and growth initiatives.
  • Advise on corporate restructurings and changes to the wider group structure.
  • Coordinate external tax advisers across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Monitor changes in German and international tax regulation and assess their commercial impact.
  • Work closely with finance, legal, investment and senior management teams.

The Person

The successful candidate will bring:

  • At least five years’ experience within corporate, international or transaction tax.
  • Strong knowledge of the German corporate tax environment.
  • Practical experience managing cross-border and international tax matters.
  • Exposure to M&A, investment transactions, corporate structuring or reorganisations.
  • The ability to translate complex technical tax matters into practical commercial advice.
  • A background within a Big Four firm, established tax advisory practice or international corporate environment.
  • A proactive and hands-on approach suited to a growing, entrepreneurial business.
  • Fluent German and English.
  • Experience within renewable energy, infrastructure, utilities or another project-led industry would be highly advantageous.

This is an excellent opportunity to move into a visible, commercially influential position and help shape the international tax framework of a growing European renewable energy business.
