SENIOR AUTHORISED PERSON (SAP) – 132kV – SPEN NETWORK – CONTRACTLocation: SPEN Network – Scotland / North Wales / North West EnglandContract: 12 monthsStart Date: ImmediateSector: HV Infrastructure / Renewable Energy / Power NetworksThe OpportunityI'm working with an established HV electrical engineering contractor looking to appoint experienced Senior Authorised Persons (SAPs) to support ongoing electrical infrastructure projects across the SPEN network.The business delivers HV engineering services across renewable energy, private electrical networks and major infrastructure projects, supporting electrical installations from construction and commissioning through to energisation and ongoing operation.This is an opportunity for experienced SPEN-authorised SAPs up to 132kV to support a growing portfolio of HV projects.Key ResponsibilitiesActing as SAP within your SPEN authorisations, up to 132kV.Planning and carrying out HV switching, isolations, earthing and restoration.Preparing switching schedules and managing electrical safety documentation.Coordinating outages, shutdowns and electrical isolation requirements.Supporting HV testing, commissioning and energisation activities.Liaising with Network Control, commissioning engineers, contractors and project teams.Ensuring all works comply with SPEN electrical safety rules and operational procedures.Maintaining safe systems of work across HV electrical infrastructure projects.Experience RequiredCurrent or recent SPEN SAP authorisation up to 132kV, appropriate to the scope of works.Strong practical experience in HV switching, isolations, earthing and safety documentation.Thorough understanding of electrical safety rules and operational procedures.Experience across HV substations, power networks, renewable energy or electrical infrastructure.Previous experience supporting commissioning, energisation or operational activities.Ability to coordinate effectively with Network Control and site delivery teams.Contract DetailsContract opportunities.Projects across the SPEN network.Immediate start preferred.Rates and contract durations to be discussed.Interested?If you're an experienced SPEN authorised SAP looking for your next contract, please get in touch to discuss the opportunities at rebecca.raybould@hunterphilips.comAlternatively, if you know someone who may be suitable, referrals are always welcome.
