Project Manager – Client-Side - Investment Management Company - Utility-Scale Solar PV - Construction 

 

We are currently supporting a leading renewable energy investment company in the appointment of a Project Manager to oversee the on-site delivery of a utility-scale Solar PV (100MW+) project in the Highlands County, Florida.

 

Your focus will be on driving project delivery, identifying and mitigating risks, coordinating stakeholders and ensuring the EPC contractor and wider project team remain aligned.

 

The position offers a unique opportunity to work directly for an investor, providing strategic oversight across the project lifecycle whilst coordinating multiple delivery partners, consultants and stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the relationship with the EPC Contractor throughout construction.
  • Coordinating Technical Advisors, environmental consultants, utilities, AHJs and other external stakeholders.
  • Monitoring programme, commercial and technical risks and proactively driving mitigation measures.
  • Supporting project reporting, governance and regular updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Managing permitting compliance and ensuring permit obligations are maintained throughout construction.
  • Reviewing project progress and challenging delivery strategy where appropriate.
  • Supporting contract administration, change management and commercial discussions.

 

Ideally you will possess:

  • Previous Construction or Project Management experience on utility-scale Solar PV, BESS or wider renewable energy projects.
  • Experience coordinating EPC Contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience identifying, managing and mitigating project risks.
  • Knowledge of permitting, environmental compliance and regulatory requirements throughout construction.
  • Commercial awareness with experience supporting project reporting, budgets and programme management.
  • The confidence to work independently whilst representing the client's interests.

 

Contract Details:

  • Engagement: Contract (W-2 arrangement)
  • Contract Length: 18 months
  • Location: Highlands County, Florida, USA (hybrid working)
  • Working Pattern: Majority of your time will be spent remotely with some travel required to site
  • Start Date: ASAP, depending on the candidates availability - early construction works begin in October 2026
