Head of Direct Marketing / Sales – Renewables – Germany (flexible location) + competitive compensation & progression to executive management)

My client is a leading European energy trader continuing the expansion of its footprint across German & international energy markets. They are looking for a Head of Sales to join their high-performing team to drive sales of their Direct Marketing service. In this critical role, you will be the driving force of leading the existing team, whilst also collaborating on the strategy for a modern approach to increasing market share and securing the vital upstream generator contracts that drive the trading operations of the business.

 

The Role:

You will be responsible for leading the sales team whilst having real influence in the future strategy of the company, who have a real desire to adopt a modern & innovative approach to business development:

  • Responsible for the overall direct marketing business, including building & executing a 3 to 5 year strategy in collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high performing sales team.
  • Lead end-to-end commercial negotiations.
  • Oversee the creation of market leading service innovations, to set the gold standard in the market.
  • Identify & penetrate new market segments to expand the reach of the business.
  • Cultivate and maintain long-term, high-trust relationships with asset owners, developers, and operators across the renewable sector.
  • Act as a trusted partner to asset owners, leveraging your industry expertise to position the business as the counterparty of choice.

 

Your Profile

  • Proven success within upstream direct sales in the German energy market.
  • Exceptional networking and communication skills with a relentless drive to secure contracts and close deals.
  • Vision for innovation for the future.
  • Strong capability to negotiate & close contracts.
  • Ability to lead a sales team.
  • Business fluency in German and English is required to effectively negotiate in the local market.

132kV Senior Authorised Person – Long Term Contract – Southern England - Monday to Friday - SSEN South I’m supporting a major contractor delivering a substantial programme of connections, asset replacement and capital works across the SSEN network.
