We are supporting a growing power infrastructure and energy technology business in the search for a Sales Director to lead strategic account growth across the US market.

 

This is a senior commercial role focused on developing and expanding relationships with major utility, industrial and infrastructure customers across the United States. The position will work closely with some of the organisation’s most important key accounts, driving both product and service sales across the power sector.

 

Reporting directly into the US Leader, this individual will play a critical role in shaping commercial strategy, strengthening customer relationships and driving long-term revenue growth across the region.

 

The role is well suited to someone with a strong background in utility-facing sales, strategic account management and complex technical solutions within the power industry.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sales activity across key utility and industrial accounts within the US market
• Develop and execute account growth strategies across power products and service solutions
• Build long-term relationships with senior stakeholders across utilities, EPCs, industrial customers and infrastructure groups
• Drive both new business development and expansion within existing accounts
• Manage complex commercial discussions, framework agreements and long-cycle sales processes
• Work closely with technical, operational and leadership teams to align commercial delivery with customer requirements
• Identify market opportunities across transmission, distribution, grid modernisation and wider power infrastructure sectors
• Deliver accurate forecasting, pipeline management and strategic reporting to US leadership
• Support wider commercial strategy and regional growth initiatives across North America

 

Candidate Profile

• 10+ years’ experience within power infrastructure, electrical products, grid technologies or utility services
• Strong experience managing strategic utility or industrial accounts across the US market
• Background within OEMs, grid automation, electrical infrastructure, utility services or related sectors
• Proven ability to sell complex technical solutions and long-cycle service agreements
• Strong understanding of utility sales environments and stakeholder management
• Experience working across power products, aftermarket services, lifecycle solutions or grid technologies
• Commercially driven with strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
• Able to operate strategically whilst remaining customer-facing and commercially hands-on
• Degree qualified within Engineering, Business or a related discipline preferred
