Client Side Site Manager / Client Representative - Onshore Wind - Construction - Midlands, Ireland - 12 Month Contract (Extension Potential)

We are supporting a leading renewable energy developer in the appointment of a Client Side Site Manager / Client Representative for a live onshore wind farm project in the Irish Midlands.

This position will suit a practical, site-based professional with a strong civil engineering background who can oversee contractors on behalf of the developer and help drive the project through its current delivery phase. While experience across turbines, substations and balance of plant would be advantageous, the priority for the next 12 months is strong civils capability due to the current stage of works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the client-side representative on site during the civil construction phase
  • Monitor and oversee construction roads, bulk earthworks, ducting and associated infrastructure works
  • Review and monitor civils works around the wind farm and associated substation areas
  • Ensure works are being carried out in line with design intent, project boundaries, quality requirements and relevant engineering standards
  • Interface with principal contractors, Owner’s Engineer, landowners and other local stakeholders as required
  • Provide practical site oversight across turbine locations, substation civils and turbine delivery route works
  • Identify issues early and work proactively with contractors to keep the programme moving
  • Maintain a strong focus on HSE, quality and compliance without adopting an overly confrontational approach
  • Support reporting and communication back into the wider project team where required

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Strong background in civil engineering site delivery, site supervision or resident engineering
  • Experience on infrastructure, utilities, renewable energy, substations, roads, rail or other heavy civils projects
  • Wind farm experience is desirable but not essential
  • Experience overseeing roads, drainage, bulk earthworks, ducting and general civil packages is highly desirable
  • Ability to work in a client-side capacity while building effective relationships with contractors on site
  • Practical, solutions-focused mindset with the confidence to take ownership and drive actions forward
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage with multiple stakeholders
  • Full driving licence and willingness to be site-based full-time

Contract Details:

  • Contract position
  • 12 months initial duration (high extension potential if good fit)
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Full-time site-based role, Monday-Friday
  • Project located in the Irish Midlands
  • Potential for extension beyond the initial civils phase depending on project needs and candidate suitability

This is an excellent opportunity to join a major onshore wind project at delivery stage and play a key role in representing the developer on site.
