Senior Portfolio Manager (Energy Markets) – Renewables - Germany


Are you an experienced portfolio manager with strong experience in Portfolio Management with a focus on large-scale renewable energy projects in Germany? Are you experienced in looking out along the curve and also in prop trading? Are you excited by the prospect of helping an IPP to develop & drive its strategy to have a more sophisticated heading & trading strategy? If so, we have the position for you!

 

The Company:

A mid-sized Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer (IPP) with 3GW+ of installed capacity across Europe. As the portfolio expands, so does its ambition to drive to becoming a utility operator. As part of ongoing investment into high focus markets and also to underpinning capital to take on the increased risk of prop trading, they are looking to secure a Senior/Principal Portfolio Manager to join their high performing Energy Management team and set up their dynamic Portfolio Management function.

 

The Role:

As Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for developing & leading the group’s Portfolio Management strategy within Germany and then across Europe. Some duties will include:

            Help the company to take a more utility-style approach with prop trading and working along the curve

            Work closely with executive leadership in defining and executing the business's 3 to 5 year energy markets strategy

            Develop & implement the Portfolio Management strategy for a European wide portfolio of renewable assets, including the creation of a wider/more structured portfolio management function

            Coordinate activities for trading, hedging, and collaborating with PPA teams.

            Work directly with PPA teams to effectively price & structure contracts into the long term

            Work directly with trading teams & 3rd party trading partners to execute the hedging and prop trading strategy

            Mentor and lead a high performing team

            Build an effective reporting function including presenting portfolio updates to senior leadership

The Person:

The successful candidate will likely have:

            3+ years experience in Trading, Portfolio Management, or PPA Origination

            A strong commercial acumen with proven experience driving value into your organisation’s energy markets team

            Be able to solve complex problems, engage, lead, motivate, and inspire teams to success

            Speak English, German would be beneficial as would other European languages

Assistant Site Manager - Solar PV - Solar Farm - Construction - UK - ContractJob Overview:A renewable energy EPC is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to support the on-site delivery of utility-scale Solar PV project.
