General Superintendent / Site Manager - Power Generation Project - Drogheda, Ireland - Contract


Job Overview:

We are working with a leading EPC contractor delivering a major power generation project in Ireland, who are seeking an experienced General Superintendent / Site Manager to oversee the wider site delivery.

This role sits across the full power plant scope and will be responsible for day-to-day site management, contractor coordination, and ensuring safe and efficient project execution from early enabling works through to completion.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily site operations across a multi-disciplinary site
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors across civils, mechanical, and electrical packages
  • Ensure all works are delivered in line with HSE, quality, and programme requirements
  • Act as the primary on-site representative for the EPC contractor
  • Monitor progress and ensure alignment with project timelines and milestones
  • Coordinate interfaces between multiple subcontractors and workstreams
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and standards
  • Support planning and sequencing of works from enabling phase through full construction
  • Liaise with project management and engineering teams to ensure effective delivery

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree-qualified in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering 
  • Proven experience in construction
  • Background in power generation, energy, or large-scale infrastructure project
  • Engineering-led background is essential - candidates without formal engineering qualifications will not be considered
  • Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills

  • Location: Drogheda, Ireland 
  • Contract Position
  • Duration: Approx. 2 years
  • Start Date: Flexible - early start available to support enabling works phase
  • Working Hours: 08:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday
