What is it about working in renewable energy recruitment that really inspires you?
After 21 years in executive search, what still gets me out of bed is the tangible legacy of our work. In many industries, "changing the world" is a marketing slogan; in renewables, it is a daily reality.

I am inspired by the fact that we aren’t just filling seats; we are placing the pioneers of a sustainable future. Whether we are securing a Chief Executive Officer for an IPP startup or a Head of operations for a global wind portfolio, we are installing the drivers of change. There is a profound sense of purpose in knowing that the leaders we assess today—the engineers, the project directors, and the commercial strategists—are the ones who will ensure a habitable planet for the next generation. It is recruitment with a heartbeat.

The renewable sector moves fast — how do you and your team stay ahead of the curve?
Staying ahead isn't about chasing the latest headline; it's about anticipating the ripple effects of technology advancements, policies, and capital deployment. We operate on a philosophy of "Deep Domain Intelligence" and leverage our networks accordingly.

  • Niche Specialization: We don't try to be everything to everyone. By focusing intensely on the lifecycle of renewable & grid projects—from engineering and delivery to commercialization and operations — we understand the technical nuances that generalist firms miss.
  • The Global Ecosystem: Utilising 21+ years of experience has allowed us to build a proprietary global map of talent. We don't just know who is looking for a job today; we have access to the passive talent pools, we know who has succeeded in this space over the last decade.
  • Brand: Because we understand the power of narrative, we help our clients articulate a "talent brand" that attracts the world’s most elusive high-performers. We stay ahead by being active participants in the industry dialogue, not just observers.

Can you share a moment or success story that made you especially proud?
We have many proud moments to draw upon. One particular example being an IPP we partnered with that was struggling to realise their ambitions to develop a multi-gigawatt pan-European platform. The stakes were high—not just for the company’s plans, investors, and balance sheet, but for the regional energy grid.

We were tasked with finding a leadership team that could bridge the gap between project development, technical engineering excellence and high-stakes commercial negotiation. We didn't just find "candidates"; we found a cohesive unit of leaders who had navigated similar headwinds in emerging markets.
