11kV Senior Authorised Persons – Asset replacement – Long-Term Contracts – Outside IR35 – North of England – ASAP Start


Hunter Philips are partnered with one of the UK’s leading utilities, who are seeking experienced 11kV Senior Authorised Persons to support on an asset replacement scheme.


Responsibilities:

  • Safely manage and oversee all HV operations associated with asset replacement works on the 11kV network.
  • Prepare, issue and manage safety documentation and permits in full compliance with DNO and client procedures.
  • Execute 11kV switching operations, coordinating with the control room to safely isolate, replace and re-energise network assets.
  • Prepare and implement switching schedules for planned asset replacement works, outages and return-to-service activities.
  • Establish and maintain Safety from the System throughout the removal, replacement, testing and commissioning of 11kV equipment.
  • Lead and supervise the replacement of 11kV switchgear, transformers and associated primary plant.
  • Coordinate the safe decommissioning and removal of existing assets and the integration of replacement equipment into the network.
  • Develop and review RAMS for high-risk asset replacement activities, including isolations, lifting operations, testing and commissioning.
  • Maintain network integrity and operational safety throughout every stage of the asset replacement programme.

Requirements:

  • Currently or previously authorised at 11kV under one of the UK DNOs.
  • Proven HV switching experience on 11kV systems.
  • Strong background in substations or new connection works.
  • Based in, or willing to work across, the North of England.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Logistics:

  • Monday to Friday, with occasional optional weekend work.
  • All inclusive day rate, outside IR35.
  • Long term contracts with an ongoing pipeline of major projects.
  • Immediate start available.

33kV Senior Authorised Person

Senior Authorised Person – 6 month contract – Northern Ireland – 33kV–110kV - Day rate I’m working with an established renewable energy business delivering wind and solar projects across the UK, Ireland and Europe.
