11kV Senior Authorised Person – Contract – Immingham – Gas-Fired Power Station – Immediate Start


I’m working with a major contractor looking to appoint an experienced Senior Authorised Person to support the commissioning phase of a gas-fired power station in Immingham.


The role will involve:

  • Acting as Senior Authorised Person across the site’s 6.6kV electrical systems.
  • Taking responsibility for electrical safety and the implementation of safe systems of work.
  • Carrying out HV switching, isolations and earthing.
  • Preparing, issuing and cancelling electrical safety documents.
  • Managing permits and ensuring all work is completed in accordance with the site safety rules.
  • Coordinating with commissioning teams, contractors and site management.
  • Supporting the project through the remaining commissioning activities.

Experience required:

  • Previous experience working as an SAP or Authorised Person on HV systems.
  • Strong 6.6kV or 11kV electrical experience.
  • Practical HV switching and isolation experience.
  • Good understanding of Safety from the System.
  • Previous experience working under the safety rules would be advantageous.
  • Strong electrical background, ideally within power generation, industrial or commissioning environments.

  • Immingham.
  • Immediate start.
  • Initial 4 month contract, with potential opportunities on future projects.
  • Day rate, outside IR35
  • Gas fired power station project.
