Accounts Assistant (Full-time / Permanent)
Hunter Philips are currently searching for an Accounts Assistant, to work within fast-expanding Recruitment firm based in Hazel Grove, Stockport. The successful candidate will ideally have a good background working in a fast-paced environment and should be able to demonstrate an ability to meet multiple deadlines. Preferred candidates will have experience in multi-currency book-keeping, global credit control, as well as some experience / knowledge of the recruitment industry. As an Accounts Assistant, you will report directly into the Finance Director. The duties and responsibilities will include:
Contractor Bill & Pay
· Inbox management
· Processing timesheets
· Posting Contractor Invoices on a weekly & monthly basis
· Payment of Contractor invoices on a weekly & monthly basis
· General Contractor support / Query management
· Client Liaison
· Creating Sales Invoices on a weekly & monthly basis
· Contract book reconciliation
Credit Control
· Global Credit Control, contacting clients by phone, post, email
· Posting cash receipts
· Debtor reporting on a regular basis
· Running Credit Report checks for new business
· Sales ledger / Invoice Finance
Book-keeping\ (UK / Overseas)
· Purchase Ledger management
· Bank / Credit Card reconciliations
· Invoice Finance reconciliation
· VAT returns – UK / Overseas
· Fixed Asset Management
· Accruals / Prepayments
· Profit Centre management
· Management Reporting
A good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Database management would be essential as well as any exposure to payroll or contracts (beneficial, but not essential). Hunter Philips is an international company so language skills, particularly German, would be an advantage but are not essential. You will have experience of working in fast moving, sales driven environment, where you will be used to multi-tasking and handling various internal and external stakeholders.
