Are you looking for a role working with exciting and innovative projects? 2024 is going to be a booming year in the renewable energy space.   The Company A leading renewables developer with a large pipeline of projects are investing heavily into driving the late stage development and grid connection of their Australian portfolio.   They are looking to place a Grid Connection Manager to lead the MV/HV grid connection of Utility Scale renewables power plants to the grid, from early feasibility through to energization.   The Role: As Grid Connection Manager you will lead on all aspects of substation and Grid Connection delivery for Australian projects. Some duties will include: Lead the delivery of grid connections for all renewables projects Be the technical expert relating to all design, authorisation, and execution maters for the substation and connection of renewables plants to the grid Provide expert advice and support to project development team on grid connection & potential risks to project feasibility Review electrical system designs against grid code and supervise the delivery work of 3rd party contractors and consultants associated to HV substations and Balance of Plant Collaborate on Grid Connection applications & negotiation of conditions with network operators Manage risk and problems arising with the Grid Connection   The Person: The successful candidate will likely have: Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar 3+ years' experience in Utility Scale Project Developer with a focus on Grid Connection Understand utility Grid Code and have relationships with Transmission & Distribution operators. Have strong capabilities related to Power Systems Studies Have expert technical knowledge with the ability to support team members and influence technical discussions. Be able to solve complex problems, Engage, Lead, motivate and inspire teams to success. OHL Site Manager - Transmission & Distribution - Overhead Power Lines - Renewable Energy – Multiple locations across England or Scotland – Long Term Contract Opportunity Have you got extensive knowledge and experience with delivering overhead power line sites? Do you want to play a key part in the energy transition? If so, please read below.   Key Responsibilities: Provide technical input and support during project planning, development, and design stages. Lead technical analysis and resolve queries for contract bid packages, ensuring timely awards and site starts. Act as the Client's Representative, monitoring the Principal Contractor in line with CDM regulations 2015. Oversee civil and electrical aspects during the construction stage, managing onsite contractors to meet commercial contract conditions. Proactively plan and monitor project and contractor programs to ensure key dates or milestones are met. Implement and monitor quality assurance, environmental processes and safety protocols. Liaise with transmission operational staff to support safety and commissioning stages.   Skills And Experience: Minimum 5 years experience as a Supervisor or Site Manager in the power sector, particularly in transmission overhead line works (132/275/400kV) Strong leadership, planning and contract management skills, including experience with NEC Option B & EPC contracts. In-depth knowledge of relevant Health and Safety and Environmental legislation (CDM, GS6, HSG47, etc.) SP Energy Networks authorizations up to 400Kv. Excellent IT, negotiation, and influencing skills. SMSTS certification and First Aid qualification.   Logistics: Ideally, the start date would be as soon as possible, a 1 month notice period is fine. This will be a long term contract INSIDE IR35 - 12 months minimum Site Locations: Merseyside, Cheshire, North Wales and North Shropshire as well as Central and Southern Scotland

If so, please continue..   The Company A global IPP and Project Developer with more than 30GW of renewable energy projects in their pipeline across over 12 countries.   The Role As Global Head of Grid Integration, key duties include: Be the main point of contact for the company for all grid related subjects Develop and execute 3-5 year strategy, to accelerate successful grid connections, including selection of equipment and service providers Close working relationship and advisory role to the executive management board on all grid integration topics Lead and manage the grid application process, while coordinating internal & external stakeholders Collaborate in the negotiation & closing of grid connection, OEM, and engineering contracts Oversee development of standards, processes, tools, and best practices for effective delivery of all connections and interfacing across all internal and external stakeholders Build & maintain relationships with DNOs, TSOs, OEMs, EPC Oversee all topics related to power systems studies Build and lead a high performing international team Progression to VP of Engineering or similar in 2-3 years   The Person Desired requirements: A degree in Electrical Engineering and/or a Project Management qualification 10+ years in the renewable energy sector and a proven track record of managing large-scale grid integration projects from inception to completion.
