Client Representative / Site Manager - Utility-Scale Solar - York, England - 12 Month Contract
A leading renewable energy IPP is seeking an experienced Client-side Representative / Site Manager to support the delivery of a live solar farm project in the West Yorkshire region.
With construction already underway, the client is looking to strengthen on-site oversight to ensure the EPC remains aligned with programme, quality, and HSE expectations. This is a hands-on site delivery role suited to a strong construction professional who can confidently challenge and drive performance on the ground.
Job Overview
You will act as the client’s on-site presence, overseeing EPC delivery and ensuring works are executed safely, compliantly, and to programme. The role requires a practical individual with strong site awareness and the confidence to intervene where required to maintain progress and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive day-to-day site delivery and ensure works progress in line with programme
- Act as client representative on site, holding the EPC accountable to design and contractual requirements
- Monitor programme, productivity, and sequencing, identifying and addressing slippage
- Maintain strong HSE oversight through site walkdowns and proactive intervention
- Oversee quality assurance, inspections, and site reporting back to the project team
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in a Site Manager, Construction Manager, or Client Representative capacity
- Strong background in utility-scale solar, renewables, or similar infrastructure projects
- Contractor-side experience highly advantageous
- Strong programme and site delivery focus with the confidence to challenge EPC performance
- Solid understanding of HSE and quality requirements on live construction sites
- Civils-biased construction knowledge preferred; electrical exposure beneficial

- Duration: 12 months initial (with extension potential) - Outside IR35
