A leading renewable energy developer and Independent Power Producer (IPP) is currently looking to secure a Project Engineering Manager to support the delivery of a growing portfolio of utility-scale solar PV and battery energy storage projects across Germany.

My client is a rapidly expanding renewable energy developer and Independent Power Producer (IPP) with a strong presence in the German market. Active across the full project lifecycle, from origination and development through to construction and long-term operation, the business has built a reputation for delivering high-quality renewable energy infrastructure and is continuing to scale its project pipeline significantly.

 

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of critical engineering and grid connection activities, while helping shape technical standards and project execution within a highly entrepreneurial environment.

 

The Role:

As Project Engineering Manager, you would be responsible for:

  • Leading grid connection activities and managing technical interfaces with grid operators, certification bodies, and other key stakeholders.
  • Overseeing the electrical design and engineering of utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects, including cable systems, substations, transformer stations, inverters, and associated infrastructure.
  • Managing the planning, tendering, and delivery of electrical infrastructure works to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Providing technical leadership on all electrical engineering and grid-related matters throughout development and construction phases.
  • Supporting the optimisation of engineering standards, project execution processes, and technical best practices across the organisation.

 

The Person:

The successful candidate will likely have:

  • 3+ years of experience within project engineering, electrical design, grid connection, or renewable energy infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of medium-voltage systems and German grid connection requirements.
  • Fluency in German & English
