This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced energy lawyer to join a growing legal team supporting the development, construction and operation of utility-scale wind, solar and battery energy storage projects across North America.



Key Responsibilities

Advising on complex EPC, procurement and operations matters, partnering closely with commercial, development, project finance, procurement and asset management teams.

  • Provide strategic legal advice on engineering, procurement, construction and operations & maintenance matters.
  • Draft, review and negotiate EPC Agreements, O&M Agreements, Turbine Supply Agreements, Module Supply Agreements.
  • Support complex commercial transactions and negotiations across utility-scale renewable energy projects.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on contractual risk and legal issues arising during project execution and operations.
  • Work closely with development, project finance, procurement and asset management teams to support project delivery.
  • Manage external counsel and contribute to the enhancement of legal processes and contracting frameworks.


Candidate Profile

  • Qualified attorney admitted to practice within the United States.
  • Experience within a leading law firm and/or in-house.
  • Strong experience supporting EPC, procurement, construction and O&M.
  • Proven track record negotiating complex project and commercial agreements.
  • Experience within renewable energy, power generation, infrastructure or large-scale industrial projects.
  • Exposure to utility-scale wind, solar and/or battery energy storage projects.
  • Commercially focused with excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Able to balance legal risk with practical business objectives in a fast-paced environment.

Experience supporting project development, M&A, financing, construction or asset management transactions. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance legal risk against business objectives. Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills. Able to operate effectively within a fast-paced, collaborative and entrepreneurial environment. Prior renewable energy experience is highly desirable.
