Are you an experienced Technical Asset Manager with a strong background in onshore wind? Are you looking for greater ownership, the opportunity to influence a significant operational portfolio and a clear route into leadership? If so, please read on…
The Company:
A leading, privately owned European renewable energy company with a significant presence across multiple international markets.
The business develops, owns and operates renewable energy projects across onshore wind, Solar PV, BESS and other emerging clean-energy technologies, taking a long-term approach to the ownership and optimisation of its assets.
As the operational portfolio continues to grow, they are looking for a Senior Technical Asset Manager to play a key role in strengthening and developing their Technical Asset Management function.
The Role:
• Take technical responsibility for a significant portfolio of operational renewable energy assets, predominantly onshore wind.
• Drive asset performance, availability and production optimisation across the portfolio.
• Develop and implement lifetime extension and long-term asset strategies.
• Monitor technical performance and identify opportunities to improve asset reliability and generation.
• Manage technical issues across O&M, maintenance, contractors and service providers.
• Work closely with Commercial Asset Management, Operations and Development teams.
• Support the development and implementation of Technical Asset Management processes and standards.
• Play a key role in establishing a more centralised Technical Asset Management function as the portfolio grows.
• Work closely with senior management and key decision-makers across the business.
The Person:
• Strong experience within Technical Asset Management, Operations or O&M in renewable energy.
• Extensive knowledge of onshore wind assets and their operational lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of asset performance, availability, maintenance and optimisation.
• Experience managing OEMs, O&M providers, contractors and other technical stakeholders.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to understand the wider financial impact of technical decisions.
• Comfortable taking ownership and helping to develop processes, structures and best practices.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work across technical and commercial teams.
• Good German and English language skills.
Why Apply?
This is an opportunity to join an established renewable energy business at an important stage in the continued development of its operational portfolio.
Rather than simply inheriting an established structure, you will have the opportunity to help shape the Technical Asset Management function, introduce new processes and directly influence how a substantial renewable energy portfolio is managed and optimised.
The position offers high visibility with senior leadership, significant responsibility from day one and the opportunity to become an important part of the company's future technical structure.
As the team continues to develop, there is also a clear progression route towards a future Group Lead / leadership position.
If you are looking for greater ownership, a significant onshore wind portfolio and the opportunity to progress into leadership within a growing renewable energy business, please apply without delay.
