A leading international offshore contractor is expanding its European offshore wind operations and is looking to appoint a Permitting Leader to establish and lead permitting activities across the region.


This is a key strategic hire and the first dedicated permitting position in Europe, offering the opportunity to shape the function from the ground up within a well-backed contractor making major strides in offshore wind.


The role will focus on coordinating all offshore construction, environmental and associated project permits for offshore substations and related offshore structures across multiple European markets.

Working closely with third-party consultancies, authorities, government bodies and internal project teams, you will ensure projects are fully aligned from a permitting and compliance perspective ahead of construction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate offshore construction and environmental permitting activities across Europe
  • Manage relationships with authorities, regulators and external consultancies
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders across engineering, construction, HSE and project management
  • Identify permitting risks, timelines and project dependencies
  • Support offshore projects through development and construction readiness phases


Background Sought

  • Experience within offshore wind, marine infrastructure or large-scale energy project permitting
  • Strong understanding of environmental and offshore construction permitting processes
  • Experience working with regulatory authorities and multi-disciplinary stakeholders
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-growing, highly autonomous environment


Offshore substation, foundations, cables or offshore EPC/EPCI contractor experience would be highly advantageous.

HV Cables Civil Specialist – Dublin / Hybrid - 24 Month Contract - Major T&D Infrastructure Projects - Up to 400kV I’m working with a major utility client delivering some of the most critical HV cable infrastructure projects across Ireland.They’re looking for an experienced HV Cables Civil Specialist to join their Engineering & Major Projects division, supporting the delivery of large scale underground cable projects from feasibility right through to construction support. Key Experience Required:·        Minimum 10 years’ experience within HV cable civil design·        Strong background delivering HV / EHV underground cable infrastructure projects·        Experience with trenching, duct installations, joint bays, HDD and constrained route crossings·        Strong understanding of PSDP / Construction Regulations·        Ability to technically review and approve civil engineering deliverables·        Experience managing technical risk, interfaces and design assurance·        Chartered Engineer status essential·        Experience working within utility, transmission or major infrastructure environmentsDesirable:·        FIDIC contract experience·        HV1 / HV2 PSDP competency·        Level 9 Masters Degree The role is hybrid based from Dublin with site attendance required across project locations as needed.
